It's Tough at Top..but Tougher at the Bottom

My Mum told me a story last week.

A male 'nurse' was working hard on her ward doing the most menial tasks - emptying bed pans and washing patients etc.

She got chatting to him and discovered that this time last year he was working in the City as an investment banker.

But the financial collapse made him think about what he had been doing, it's value to society, and forced a re-evaluation.

So, 12 months on, he is searching for new meaning helping some very ill people. Now, unable to do much to clear up the mess he played a part in creating, he spends his days clearing up other people's mess..

Fair enough.
